In celebration of the first-ever Grand Prix in Singapore, Audemars Piguet – the oldest Manufacture of Haute Horlogerie never to have left the hands of the founding family – threw a party to launch a limited edition of a dream watch for speed-lovers: the Royal Oak Offshore Singapore Grand Prix Chronograph.

This masculine timepiece is inspired by the aerofoils, vents and other appendages of the gleaming Formula 1 cars. Its ultra-sporty colour codes, which also echoed the theme of the night, were red and black. Among the 500 guests enjoying the evening were Formula One racer Jarno Trulli, Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh, her fiancé Jean Todt and DJ Ravin of Buddha Bar. The guests were entertained by a Latin Jazz band from South America and Spanish Flamenco dancer Daniel Navarro Muñoz.

But the grand moment of the night was when the image of the timepiece was unveiled, marking the launch of this unique and highly desirable collectors’ item. The inauguration was presided over by Oliviero Bottinelli (CEO of AP Singapore), Jasmine Audemars (Chairman of the Board of Directors), Jarno Trulli and Georges- Henri Meylan (CEO of AP Manufacture).
