AUDEMARS PIGUET Hosts Sachin Tendulkar Evening

Audemars Piguet partnered with their exclusive retailer in New Delhi, Kapoor Watch Co., to provide an opportunity to their valued customers and watch connoisseurs by hosting an evening with Bharat Ratna  Sachin Tendulkar, Audemars Piguet’s Global Brand Ambassador recently. The guests not only spent an evening with the legendary sportsman but were also introduced to the history of Audemars Piguet as they discovered unique timepieces, including the new collection designed for the Audemars Piguet woman, and the Two-Tone Self-winding Royal Oak.

The event took place at The Grand Ballroom of The Leela, New Delhi.  Antonio Seward, General Manager, Audemars Piguet South East Asia, took the guests through the defining moments of  Sachin Tendulkar’s cricketing journey.

When asked if there was any memorable moment  Sachin had with a watch, the legendary cricketer replied, “Yes. It was the watch that travelled with me during the 2011 World Cup, the Royal Oak with a rubber strap, rubber bezel, black dial, pink gold case. This watch is very close to my heart because I was wearing it when I held the World Cup.”

Dwelling on his decade- old relationship with Audemars Piguet, he said “It has been fantastic. I always wanted an Audemars Piguet on my wrist.  It’s all about how you feel inside. I wear this brand for my own satisfaction, not for someone else to appreciate and that is what my relationship with Audemars Piguet is all about.”

Also present were Sandeep Kapoor and Amarjeet Kapoor of Kapoor Watch Co.

Rhys Sebastian, the prodigious saxophone artist, entertained the guests.
