Apart from a new mechanical model in the Manero range that combines classic design element and tradition, Carl F. Bucherer has come out with several new stunning models
Swiss watch brand Carl F. Bucherer has come out with stunning new models, carrying forward its legacy. It has come out with a new mechanical model in the Manero range: the Manero PowerReserve. With integrated power reserve indication and the high-precision CFB A1011 Manufacture calibre, the timepiece combines high functionality and sophisticated technology. And always shows the wearer the amount of energy it has left.
“With regards to the products, we have launched different models like the Manero Tourbillon with 188 pieces, the Alacria Fleur with about 125 pieces, and also products from the Patravi line. The Patravi TravelTec FourX with 125 pieces is the special edition for the anniversary of Bucherer. Then, we also have other new products, especially in the Manero line,” says Sascha Moeri, the CEO of Carl F. Bucherer.
The power reserve indication is a classic design element with tradition. Originally used in marine chronometers, this indication soon became established in wristwatches too. It indicates the current state of tension of the mainspring, and states the remaining time the watch will continue to run, as a number of hours. The Manero PowerReserve has also made the functionality and design of the power reserve indication its own, creating a watch with a special face. The patented dynamic shock absorber known as Dynamic Shock Absorption (DSA) provides maximum efficiency and reliability. In its design and technology, the Manero PowerReserve skilfully combines classic and modern components—making it truly a watch for all time.
With the Alacria RoyalRose, Carl F. Bucherer has created a timepiece that skilfully combines elegance and symbolic power. Framed by the typical case shape of the Alacria range, the dial shimmers forth from a mass of entwining flowers. Made from finest quality materials, this is a watch that brings time itself into bloom. In its elegance and grace, the rose is a symbol of beauty, joie de vivre and love. For centuries, it has been revered as a divine phenomenon, praised by poets and valued by lovers as a testimony to the eternal bond between them. Inspired by the majestic splendour and symbolic power of the rose, Carl F. Bucherer has created a timepiece that radiates a special power: the Alacria RoyalRose.
Moreover, Patravi TravelTec FourX Limited Edition is a watch with three time zones and fuses titanium, ceramic and rubber in its body. These selected materials, together with 18ct rose gold, make the 125-year Jubilee Collection from Carl F. Bucherer a real talking point among watch enthusiasts.
The design of the Patravi TravelTec, which was first launched in 2006, created entirely new challenges for engineers, watchmakers and designers, since the specification required the clear and simultaneous indication of three time zones, necessitating for the first time ever, the integration of movement and case. In the Patravi TravelTec, the case contains part of the time-zone selection mechanism, which is controlled in two directions by means of a single push-piece.
Unlike other ‘world time watches’, the Patravi TravelTec is suitable both for frequent flyers and for those who communicate with people all over the world. Those entering another time zone will prefer to make an adjustment at once, moving the wedge-shaped hours-hand forward or backward an hour at a time.
Also, the Manero MoonPhase Limited Edition is a timepiece and calendar, clad in gold. For its 125-year jubilee, Carl F. Bucherer presents the Manero MoonPhase Limited Edition—
a great moment for lovers of the classic craft of watchmaking.
In addition to the current date, the day of the week and the month, the beautifully executed calendar also displays the phase of the moon, and is a tribute to the company’s founder, Carl Friedrich Bucherer. “It’s a family. We take care of each other and we work in a good atmosphere. These values for Mr Bucherer are very important to us as well, and now they come at the top. Just like Patek Philippe is owned by the Stern family, Chopard by the Scheufeles and Breitling by the Schneiders among others, Bucherer is owned by the Bucherers, and that’s an emotional binding, which is, for me, one pillar of our success,” says Moeri.
This passionate dedication to the art of watchmaking is also reflected in the Manero MoonPhase Limited Edition. A quick glance at the wrist provides the wearer with a quick overview of the current date, shown by hands around the centre of the dial. The indication of the day of the week has been positioned at 10 o’clock, and the current month can be seen on the right, at 2 o’clock. The special calendar is completed by the moon phase indication, which appears in a central position at 6 o’clock. In addition, the watch’s reliability is ensured by Carl F. Bucherer’s automatic CFB 1966 calibre, which forms the heart of this unusual calendar.
In spite of the many indications of complications, the brand has made optimum legibility a design priority, enhanced by the wedge-shaped index marks and tapering Super-Luminovacoated hours and minutes hands. An eye-catching feature is the moon phase indication, with a gold-coloured moon shining out against a blue background. The Louisiana alligator-skin strap has an elegant stainless steel clasp.
