Hiren Kumar Bose introduces the three new watches to be launched at BaselWorld 2018
HARRY WINSTON Emerald
The 17.8 mm x 24 mm Emerald gold watch with diamonds is combined with the soft touch of pink sapphire. The Art Deco lines of the eight-sided case, set with 53 brilliant-cut diamonds, are a tribute to the emerald-cut, the favourite diamond shape of Harry Winston, the founder. The emerald shape is repeated on the dial as an outline composed of 44 brilliant cut diamonds set into a background of white mother-of-pearl. The frame is accented by pink sapphires, set at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock and a larger, emerald-cut pink sapphire at the 12 o’clock position.
HYT H0 FEEL
The 48.8 mm H0 FEEL is unfazed by rising temperatures; for a patented thermal compensator ensures that liquid expansion due to temperature variation never gets in the way of time’s fluidity. Red, the colour of fire, and 18ct gold with 2N purity, reflecting the power of the sun, work their magic on this creation. Ensuring the accuracy of the red and transparent fluids that document time’s passage in the capillary tube “vein” is a third liquid in a vital component working behind the scenes. This elegant solution is contained in a small bellow within one of the main bellows of the patented fluidic module. A wave pattern and power reserve display with droplet-style decoration echo the intrinsic theme of going with the flow. A gold opaline dial has engraved markers and numerals with white Super-LumiNova®, as do the brushed and micro-blasted counters. Spanning the three sub-dials is the watch’s name in confident capitals. Cooling things down slightly are grey minute and second hands. This watch can certainly take the heat.
RAYMOND WEIL Maestro Blues
The brand presents two new additions to its emblematic maestro collection, the Maestro Blues, inspired by the bewitching sounds of the “blues”. Equipped with a mechanical automatic winding movement housed in a 40mm diameter case, these timekeepers feature a captivating dark blue dial, endowed with a delicate wave-like decoration. The refined contemporary hands offer an elegant match for the dial’s white Roman numerals. The maestro Blues with the rose gold PVD plated case features a date aperture at 3 o’clock, while the stainless steel version is equipped with an aperture at noon, subtly revealing the heart of the watch. Both of these versions marry perfectly with the blue genuine leather strap punctuated with white stitching.
