JAEGER – LECOULTRE teams up with the Shanghai International Film Festival for the Sixth Year

Fine Watchmaking brand Jaeger-LeCoultre continues its cooperation with the 2016 Shanghai International Film Festival, which will be raising the curtain on June 11.

Now in its sixth year of sponsorship of the festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre will host a grand charity dinner in the historic Waitanyuan area, where it will hold an auction to support the restoration of classic Chinese films.

This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre will auction a Reverso One Duetto Moon watch engraved with the signature of the friend of the brand Ms. Zhao Wei.

For the past six years, a number of Chinese classics, ranging from 1930s and 1940s, such as A Spring River Flows East and Stage Sisters, to Hong Kong films Hero and Love Without End, have been restored and conserved, thanks to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s efforts to promote the timehonoured traditions and profound culture of Chinese film.

For a decade, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been closely associated with the best artistic film festivals around the world, including Venice, San Sebastian, Los Angeles, and New York, and in turn pays tribute to the creative ingenuity of filmmakers by annually awarding the Glory to theFilmmaker Award.
