New Male Collection Nabucco
After the international launch in the amazing city of Istanbul (Turkey), the Nabucco launch continues. Nabucco, the latest offering by the international luxury Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil, exclusively dedicated to men, was officially launched in India. Olivier Bernheim, President and CEO of the Geneva brand presented the inaugural watch to the celebrity guest who unveiled the watch – India’s first male supermodel, actor and producer Milind Soman.
The introduction of the new Nabucco collection was followed by the spectacular 5 minute Nabucco film. After the film, Olivier Bernheim gifted Milind Soman one of Nabucco’s interpretations.
A GMT automatic model, featuring a 44 mm diameter round polished steel case and a polished, brushed steel bracelet with screw down case-back and pushers ensuring a 20 ATM (660ft) water-resistance. which he wore with much panache and charm.
Milind Soman, then took over the microphone and described eloquently how he embodied the characteristics of Nabucco in terms of being masculine, virile and personifying the tag line of the Brand – ‘Independence is a state of mind.’
Nabucco, the exclusively masculine self-winding mechanical collection, is sculpted in steel and water-resistant to 600ft. With its charisma, style and imposing diameter, it stands out as the watch for the Man of Character, playing on the contrast between steel, leather, and hi-tec, super-light, ultra- resistant carbon fibre. The quest for perfection in every detail lends the Nabucco collection peerless symmetry, coherence and strength.
Launches The Heritage Collection
In a fitting tribute to the 60th year of Indian Independence, Titan Industries launched the ‘Titan Heritage Collection’, a unique range of watches inspired by India’s rich architectural heritage. Renowned musical maestros Taufiq Qureshi and Rahul Sharma unveiled the collection along with Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries Limited.
The design of every watch in the collection emerges from unique stories told by the monuments of India. The Collection has 9 distinct styles, each with an individual story that beautifully captures an aspect of an architectural inspiration and renders it into a form. It engages deeply with the ancient and medieval traditions of Indian architecture, yet interprets its heritage with modern sophistication. The magnificent chariot wheel of the Sun temple in Orissa is the inspiration for the Konark watch. Taj, the best example of the confluence of cultures, is inspired by one of the wonders of the world. The white marble, the delicate floral inlay, the splendours of Mughal architecture find expression in the mother of pearl dial and strap of this exquisite watch. The Heritage collection also includes watches that pay tribute to the rich tapestry of Indian myths and stories, which have been a source of inspiration for Indian architecture over the ages.
Speaking at the launch, Bhaskar Bhat said, “With increasing pride in Indians about our country, we felt the time was right to offer our consumers a collection that paid tribute to India’s rich heritage. Every element of the collection remains true to the inspiration yet reflects the modern refinement sought by today’s discerning Indian. The collection is targeted at the new generation Indian consumer who is aware of global trends and is proud to flaunt his Indian cultural identity.”
