Following extensive renovation A. Lange & Söhne’s boutique at the Dubai Mall reopened recently. With an area of over 145 sq m on two levels, A. Lange & Söhne Dubai ranks among the manufactory’s largest boutiques. The spacious rooms provide ideal prerequisites for a new interior architecture concept characterised by openness, clarity, and eloquence. A large glass façade exposes the showroom, inspiring passersby to enter the boutique. Perpendicularly interlocking volumes offer stimulating perspectives and subdivide the space into various functional islands.
A decisive design element is the VIP lounge on the mezzanine floor, which acts as a room in a room. The fully glazed walls can be transformed electronically from transparent to milky white to create a protected atmosphere for confidential conversations. Much like a conning bridge, the lounge overlooks the centre of the salesroom. From here, everything is visible: the counter where customers interact with the staff members, the wall showcases that set the stage for the Press Release: A. Lange & Söhne Boutique Dubai with new look precision-engineered masterpieces, and the “Wall of Parts”.
“Our intention was to create spaces that in their materiality and expression reflect the personality of the A. Lange & Söhne brand,” said Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid, commenting on the boutique concept. “No matter what detail you look at, there is always a concrete reason why this material or this concrete form was chosen.”
